Talent show

Well, I am happy to report that this week is not really going any better than the last, so I am quite happy with my decision and I am very much looking forward to not coming back here in January. Tonight is the Talent Show... I hate talent shows, especially when they are a contest like this one is. But the kids really enjoy them, so I am helping out (instead of going to soccer practice, drat.)

Adam and I went to see the new Tenacious D movie last night. It was quite funny, I thought. I really like Jack Black, and he is actually a really talented singer.

Hey babe,
Talent show, hey? sounds like fun sort of. I can see the kids enjoying it. sorry to hear things aren't any better than they were. how many weeks (days) left? I'm glad you haven't regreted your decision. how are the kids taking it?
Busy month this month, have a harp circle on the 3rd, then I play at the Rotary centre with the group on 9th, and at a little cafe/bakery on the 10th and 17th with lillian and donna. Way too much busy. I would like to have the neighbours over for a wee cocktail party on the 16th, so what it basically comes down to is that I have this saturday to get all the decorating, baking, etc. done for Christmas. Wow, one day to get it all ready - what are the odds of that! mind you, I'm not putting up many decorations because of you know who - wouldn't want to tempt him with so many play things.
Anyway, hang in there, not many more days to go.
We still have snow coming up to our knees and has been really really cold here (and in Vancouver). for the last 2 days it has been in the -24 or so below. Today it is supposed to warm up to -5ish. Hope so. getting tired of scraping off the car and freezing my bum off.
Stay safe and take care of each other.
Love and hugs,
MMYT

There are 14 teaching days left. I think I am also going to a conference for on e of those days too, not not even that many! I haven't told the students yet, I am worried that they will get worse if I do tell them because they'll know they won't have to deal with me later. Good luck with all the Christmas baking and stuff! Wish I was there to help!

Hi Troe: I agree not to tell the kids...Not much sense attracking more abuse...
Busy time for me too...3 or 4 performances like Lani...
I \'m find out aboiut Lani's schedule by reading your blog...hmm
My job is to put on the windows in the living room and Lani will snow them...
I'm giving a couple of voice lessons now.. little spending money.

Talent Show... i enjoyed them as a student, but as a teacher, it seemed like just extra time doing something I didn't get paid for...

Soccer sounds like more fun

Cold and snowy... only indoor soccer here.

I am looking for some funny stories.. know any? Thanks, love, Dad

I wish you were here to help as well. Ang and I might tackle some of the living room tomorrow night. At least my baking is down a bit. I decided not to make o'henry's since you are not here this year - which will make them a bigger treat next year. If you can go without them for a year so can I. I'll just make mince tarts and short bread as well as my almond crescents. Sounds okay though, right.
Love ya

Okay, so how are you going to find peanut butter for the O'henry's. I didn't think they had it in England?
Maybe I'm wrong.
